South County Athletic Association (SCAA) has youth sports programs in the Lorton / Springfield VA area for football, soccer, cheerleading, lacrosse, basketball, field hockey, wresting, volleyball, and track.

2017 Spring Lacrosse Registration is now open for Boys and Girls. We will be fielding teams at all age groups Grades K-8 for girls and grades 2-9 for boys both experienced and new players.


For those families not familiar with SCAA our Lacrosse program primarily serves the community attending Halley, Silverbrook, Laurel Hill, Lorton Station, Newington Forest and Gunston Elementary Schools and South County Middle School. We play in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL). See the link at the bottom of the page. According to league rules we are allowed enroll boys and girls in the South County or Hayfield High School Pyramids.

Practices will be held at South County Middle School or South County High School with home games at South County High School. Games begin for all ages at the end of March and run through the first week in June.Boys play on Saturdays and Girls on Sundays.

There are no games Easter or memorial day Weekends

Player evaluations will be in January or February for all ages except Girls K-2 and Boys 8U which will begin in early March. 

Visit to register and take advantage of reduced registration rates at all ages.  Rates will increase slightly on Dec 31.

Please note the very low rates for Boys 8U and Girls K-2. This allows kids to try a new sport with a very limited financial commitment for their parents.

14U:    No older than 14 as of September 1, 2016
12U:   no older than 12 as of September 1, 2016

10U:  no older than 10 as of September 1, 2016
8U:    No older than 8 as of September 1, 2016
